Privacy Policy pursuant to Legislative Decree 196/03 and EU Regulation no. 679/2016

Pursuant to Art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/03 and following the entry into force of EU Regulation no. 679/2016, in accordance with Art. 13 of the aforementioned Regulation, we inform you of the following:

Purpose of the Data Processing

Your personal data, freely provided and acquired by us in the course of the activity carried out by Siciltourism S.r.l. – C.da Giancola – 98076 Sant’Agata di Militello (ME), will be processed lawfully and fairly for the following purposes:

  • to respond to your requests, by email or by phone;
  • to schedule appointments at our office;
  • to keep a record of contacts received via the website.

The data processed are up-to-date, relevant, complete, and not excessive in relation to the purposes listed above, for which they are collected and subsequently processed.

Processing Methods

The data will be processed, ensuring the necessary security and confidentiality, through the following methods: data collection from the data subject, collection and registration for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes, and subsequent processing compatible with those purposes, carried out with the aid of electronic and automated tools (data collection via telematics directly from the data subject).

Legal Basis for the Processing

The legal basis for processing your personal data is based on the use of the website https://www.icaroresidence.com.

Legitimate interests pursued by the Data Controller: the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in processing the data lies in the need to comply with and fulfill contractual obligations entered into by the parties. Pursuant to Art. 6, the lawfulness of the processing is based on the explicit consent of the data subject, documented in writing.

Mandatory or optional nature of data provision and consequences of refusal: providing your data is mandatory in order for the Data Controller to provide the requested services. If refused, the registration process cannot be completed, and the System Controller will not be able to fulfill contractual obligations.

Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

Your personal data will be processed by the Data Controller, by data processors appointed by the Controller, and by authorized processing staff. Your personal data will not be disseminated.

Data Retention Period

Your personal data will be stored for 10 years following the termination of the service or product supply relationship, in the IT archives owned by Siciltourism S.r.l.

Intentions of the Data Controller

The Data Controller does not intend to transfer your personal data to a third country or to an international organization.

Art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and Art. 15 of EU Regulation 679/2016 – Right of access to personal data and other rights

The data subject has the right to be informed of: the source of the personal data; the purposes and methods of processing; the logic applied in the case of processing carried out with electronic instruments; the identification details of the data controller, processor, and designated representative pursuant to Article 5, paragraph 2; the entities or categories of entities to whom the personal data may be disclosed or who may become aware of it as designated representatives in the State, data processors, or persons in charge of the processing.
The data subject has the right to obtain: the updating, rectification, or, where interested, integration of the data; the deletion, anonymization, or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently processed; certification that the operations under a. and b. have been notified, including their contents, to those to whom the data were disclosed or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right being protected.
The data subject has the right to object, in whole or in part: for legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data concerning them, even if relevant to the purpose of collection; to the processing of personal data concerning them for the purpose of sending advertising material, direct sales, market research, or commercial communication.

In particular, the data subject may at any time request from the Data Controller access to personal data, and the rectification or deletion of the same, or restriction of processing concerning them, or object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability. The data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent given before the withdrawal and has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
